Tulsa Finishes Eighth at BYU Entrada Classic

St. George, Utah - The Tulsa women's golfers finished eighth at the BYU Entrada Classic on Tuesday afternoon at the Entrada at Snow Canyon in St. George, Utah.
Wisconsin captured the team title with a 50-over par 914 after posting a 299 today, while Oklahoma State was five strokes back in second place. Texas State (921), Illinois (926), BYU (926) and UTSA (926) round out the top six teams.
Sophomore Kristina Merkle had a team-best 226 total to finish sixth overall for her fourth top-10 finish this season. Junior Kamryn Ruffin recorded a 232 to claim a 22nd-place mark, while Marita Engzelius was one stroke back in 25th place. Sarah Elliot and Charlotte Brooks posted 241 and 250 totals for 48th and 66th place, respectively.
New Mexico State's Demi Mark carded a two-over par 218 in the three rounds to earn the individual title.
TU will return to action on April 1-3 at the Rebel Intercollegiate in Oxford, Miss.
