Tulsa Men Golfers Place Eighth at The Aggie Invitational

College Station, Texas - The Tulsa men's golf team finished in an eighth-place with Oklahoma at The Aggie Invitational on Sunday afternoon. The Hurricane carded a final round 384 for a 54-hole total of 1,138 at the par-72 Traditions Golf Club.
Tulsa sophomore Chris Worrell finished in 18th place after carding a final round 77 to finish with a seven-over par 223 total. Freshman John Young Kim and junior Stephen Carney tied for 24th place with a score of 225. Kim carded a final round 76, while Carney had the best round of the day for the Hurricane with a score of three-over par 75.
Junior Arie Fauzi's 236 total and freshman Johannes Veerman's 238 score rounded out the top-five scores for Tulsa. Fauzi finished in 54th place, while Veerman placed 60th overall. Junior Andre' Tourinho finished in 61st place with a 239 total.
Host Texas A&M won the team championship, while nation's No. 1-ranked Oklahoma State Cowboys finished in second place. A&M carded a final round four-under par 356 score and finished the 54-hole event with a five-over par 1,085 total. OSU had a score of 1,104 for second place, Texas Tech finished in third place at 1,114, Baylor carded a score of 1,121 for fourth place and Texas placed fifth with a score of 1,122.
OSU's Peter Uihlein, the nation's second-ranked player, won the individual title with a five-under par total of 211.
Tulsa is back in action next at the Conference USA Championships, April 24-26, in Texarkana, Arkansas.
