Tulsa, Oklahoma - University of Tulsa Women's Basketball Coach Matilda Mossman announced today the completion of the women's basketball staff with the additions of Amanda Randall as Director of Operations, Collin Prentiss as Video Coordinator and Kara Vaughan as Graduate Manager.
"I am excited about the diversity of this group," Mossman said. "I am ecstatic about the energy level and am sure that they will all represent Tulsa in a first-class way."
Randall comes to TU after serving as the Administrative Assistant for the Arizona women's basketball team for the past two years. Her duties included overseeing all aspects of the women's basketball office, including maintaining day-to-day calendars, assisting the recruiting coordinator in official visits and coordinating all travel itineraries.
Prior to Arizona, Randall served as the Head Manager for the Kansas women's basketball team from 2004-09. She coordinated and supervised all entry-level managers, and was responsible for the equipment for all road trips.
Randall earned her degree in communication studies at KU in 2009.
"My relationship with Amanda goes back to her days as a head manager at Kansas," Mossman said. "I've traveled with her to Australia so I know she is what we need on our staff. She is energetic, highly organized and doesn't need a lot of direction."
Prentiss served as a student intern for the Kansas women's basketball team last season, where he handled all aspects of film, including team and player edits and film exchange. He also helped with daily practices to assist the coaching staff with statistical needs, as well as various office and operational needs.
Prentiss has also worked with the Tom Allen Basketball Academy as an assistant coach and manager, and the Bill Self Basketball Camp, where he served as a camp counselor.
Prentiss will earn his degree in sports management later this month from KU.
"With Collin we are getting someone who knows video in and out and has the brain power to figure anything out if there is something he doesn't know. He can do things without a lot of direction and will be a key component of our staff."
Vaughan was a four-year basketball letterwinner at Tulsa from 2007-11, starting in 61 of 96 games played. She averaged 6.7 points and 4.1 rebounds, while posting 21 career double-digit scoring games, and concluded her career ranking sixth on Tulsa's career charts with 103 three-point baskets. Vaughan missed the majority of her senior season due to a foot injury that sidelined her for all but one league game.
Vaughan played at Norman High School as a senior and was coached by Mossman.
"Obviously our relationship goes back to when she played for me at Norman," Mossman said. "She knows my likes and dislikes, and I look for her to be a link between the coaching staff and players because she understands what our expectations are. I am excited about her being a part of our staff because she is such a loyal person and has great character."
