Tulsa's 30th-ranked men's soccer team returns home to host fourth-ranked Akron on Saturday, Sept. 24th beginning at 7:00 pm.

Tulsa, Oklahoma - Tulsa's 30th-ranked men's soccer team returns home to host fourth-ranked Akron on Saturday, Sept. 24th beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the north ticket gate.

The first 100 Tulsa students will get a free bag, while the first 50 TU students will also get a free hotdog and drink. Members of the Metro Tulsa Soccer Club (8th grade and below) will get in free if they wear their jersey.

TU has a 4-3 mark this season and is no stranger to ranked opponents, posting wins over #25 Loyola Marymount and #28 Dartmouth, but dropped a 1-0 decision to third-ranked Connecticut earlier this month.

Omar Mata is leading the way this season with three goals and three assists for nine points. Stephen Roberson has two goals and an assist for five points, and Blaine Gonsalves has two goals for four points. Michael Murray has played the majority of time in the goal this season, picking up 17 saves.

Akron enters the weekend with a 4-0-2 mark on the season, but tied its only ranked opponent, #16 New Mexico (1-1) last Friday. Scott Caldwell and Darren Mattocks have scored four goals each for eight of their 13 goals, while Caldwell has also posted six assists. David Meves has logged all 595 minutes in goal and picked up just 11 saves.

The Golden Hurricane and Zips have met four times in school history, with UA picking up all four wins.
