Tiffani Couisnard Named to C-USA All-Academic Team

Irving, Texas - Tulsa junior Tiffani Couisnard was one of five players named to the 2012 Conference USA Women's Basketball All-Academic Team, as announced today by the league office. To be eligible for this distinction, a player must hold a minimum 3.2 cumulative grade point average, be a starter or key reserve for their team and be of sophomore academic standing or higher.
Couisnard, who maintains a 3.765 GPA in psychology, also earned the honor as a sophomore in 2010. She has been named to the Tulsa Dean's List and was a C-USA All-Academic Honoree as a freshman, and as a sophomore, was named to the Dean's List and was a C-USA Academic Medalist.
A forward from Houston, Texas, Couisnard ranks eighth in the league and leads the Golden Hurricane with 8.2 rebounds per game, while also contributing 7.5 points per outing and boasting 39 steals and 20 blocks on the season.
