ATHENS, Ga. - Senior Anastasia Erofeeva ended her illustrious career Wednesday with her first appearance in the NCAA Singles Championship.

The No. 49-ranked player in the nation fell 6-0, 6-3 to No. 9 Lauren Embree of the national champion Florida Gators.

Erofeeva ended her four years with a 111-38 singles record and a 107-36 doubles mark. She leaves TU with the school records for most doubles wins and most combined wins (218). Her singles victories are second-most in school history.

She became just the fifth player in school history to compete in the NCAA Singles Championship and the first since Daniela Muscolino (2005). The other three members of the Golden Hurricane to compete in the tournament were Anousjka van Exel (1998-99), Alicia Pillay (2002-03) and Aleksandra Durska (2003).
