Tulsa Volleyball Travels to Cincinnati and Memphis

WEEKLY GAME NOTES

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa volleyball team (11-13, 6-6 American) continues American Athletic Conference play this weekend as they travel to Cincinnati and Memphis. The Golden Hurricane faces Cincinnati on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7:00 p.m., and takes on Memphis on Sunday, Nov. 8 at 1:00 p.m.

Cincinnati (15-8, 7-5 American) comes into the match after splitting their conference matches last weekend, defeating Temple, 3-1, but falling short against UConn, 3-2. The Memphis Tigers (14-11, 5-7 American) lost both conference matches last weekend, falling to Temple, 3-1, and UConn, 3-0.
 
Tulsa is led by junior outside hitter Erica Bohannon, who averages 3.93 kills per set, and senior middle blocker Ashley Hooper, who averages 2.81 kills per set and .335 attacking percentage. Junior libero Brooke Berryhill also plays a vital role ranking 32nd nationally in digs per set averaging 4.95, and she is 27th in total digs this year with 475. Sophomore setter Sophie Bethke facilitates the offense efficiently with 10.38 assists, while she ranks 30th nationally in total assists with 996 this season. 
 
Friday's match against Cincinnati will mark the fifth meeting in program history. The series is dead even at 2-2. Earlier this season, the Hurricane lost, 3-2, in its home match against the Bearcats.
 
When Tulsa faces Memphis Sunday it will be the 22nd match-up in program history. Tulsa leads the series at 12-9. Earlier this season, the Hurricane lost its home match against the Tigers, 3-0.
