Action wrapped up at the SMU/Dallas Athletic Club Invitational Saturday where the Tulsa women's golf team finished in 12th-place after totaling 927 in the 54-hole tournament. Senior Alex Haun was the top-finisher for the Hurricane carding 227 and tying for 29th-place.
Fellow senior Franziska Voellinger was three strokes behind Haun and went into the clubhouse with a score of 230 and a share of 39th-place. Her score tied her season-low 54-hole total at the Texas A&M "Mo"Morial tournament on Sept. 8-10.
Chanya Angwarawong finished with a 236-total followed by Nadia Majidizadeh (240) and Antonia Von Wnuck (241).
No. 14 Oklahoma State (875) won the team competition with an eight-stroke lead over No. 37 Purdue (883). Twenty-fourth-ranked UC Davis and No. 40 Texas Tech tied for third at 888 and Houtson and No. 27 Miami tied for fifth at 900.
Purdue's August Kim beat Yupaporn Kawinpakorn (Kansas) in a two-hole playoff for the individual title.
Up next for Tulsa is the American Athletic Conference Championships April 19-21 in Palm Coast, Fla.
