Tulsa Finishes with 924 at American Championship

April 21, 2015PALM COAST, Fla. - The American Athletic Conference Women's Golf Championships wrapped up Tuesday at the Hammock Beach Resort & Golf Club's Ocean Course, where the University of Tulsa's team finished with a three-round total of 924, good for a ninth-place finish. Chanya Angwarawong was the top finisher for the Hurricane, totaling 229 through 54-holes for 32nd-place. Angwarawong counted birdies on holes 6 and 15.
Alex Haun tied for 37th-place after tallying 83 Tuesday which brought her total to 233. Nadia Majidizadeh was just one stroke back of Haun's total. Her 234 earned her a share of 39th-place.
Antonia Von Wnuck went into the clubhouse at 235 and Franziska Voellinger totaled 240.
No. 23 UCF won team honors with a four-over-par 868, beating runner-up No. 47 SMU by eight strokes. No. 48 Houston rounded out the top-three teams with a total of 878.
SMU's Jenny Haglund and UCF's Monifa Sealy were tied at the top of the leaderboard at three-under-par 213 before Sealy won in a one-hole playoff.
