Tulsa Women Golfers In 7th Place at Amelia Island Collegiate

The Tulsa women's golf team sits in seventh place after the opening two rounds Monday at the Amelia Island Collegiate. The Hurricane carded rounds of 300 and 301 for a 36-hole total of 601 at the par-72 Amelia National Golf Club. Tulsa's Antonia Von Wnuck is in 11th place individually after shooting rounds of 75 and 71 for a two-over par score of 146.
 
In round 2 action, Von Wnuck began two-over par after four holes and went to three-over par on her 12th hole of the round. However, the senior regrouped and finished birdie-par-birdie-birdie-par-birdie over her final six holes to close out the round with a one-under par score of 71.
 
Freshman Brydie Hodge turned in a second round total of one-over par 73 after carding a score of 79 for her first 18 holes. She ended the day in a 39th place tie with teammate Nadia Majidizadeh, who shot rounds of 74-78, as the two ended the first 36 holes with scores of 152. 
 
Another freshman Johanna Samuelsson scored rounds of 76 and 79 for a 155 total and is in 55th place, while senior Alex Haun carded a total score of 156 and is in 58th place.
 
North Florida has the team-lead by nine strokes with a one-under par score of 575. Bradley, Cincinnati, Campbell and Kennesaw State round out the top-5 teams. Individually, Daytona State's Ji Sun Kang sits in first place after an opening day eight-under par total of 136.
