Men's Tennis Named ITA All-Academic Team, Eight Named Scholar-Athlete

The University of Tulsa men's tennis team was named an ITA All-Academic Team as announced by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association. In order to be eligible for the team award, the program must have a cumulative team grade point average of 3.20 or above on a 4.00 scale.
 
In addition to the team academic award, Tulsa had eight athletes earn ITA Scholar-Athlete status. Carlos Bautista-Enrique, Dominic Bechard, Chase Gordon, Majed Kilani, Matthew Kirby, Dylan McCloskey, Mitchell Pritchard and Daniel Santos represent the Tulsa men on the ITA Scholar-Athlete list as the team posted a 3.45 average GPA on their way to finishing second in the American Athletic Conference for the second consecutive season.
 
In order to be eligible for ITA Scholar-Athlete status, student-athletes must be a varsity letter winner, have a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale for the current academic year and be enrolled at their present school for at least two semesters.
