The University of Tulsa Athletics and Learfield has agreed to a new 12-year partnership for the school's multimedia and sponsorship rights that continues through June 30, 2028.
Golden Hurricane Sports Properties was first established in 2007 when the university and Learfield began its relationship. It was the first time that Tulsa athletics had outsourced its multimedia rights and sponsorship initiatives.
"We are excited about our continued partnership with Learfield as we continue to grow the Tulsa Golden Hurricane brand and expand our corporate sponsorship program with local, regional and national corporations, both small and large alike," said Dr. Derrick Gragg, Tulsa's Vice President and Director of Athletics.
Golden Hurricane Sports Properties is dedicated to representing TU and managing all aspects of the rights agreement, which includes signage, digital, corporate sponsorships, television and radio play-by-play, and coaches' shows. General Manager Joe Druten leads the local sales team for Learfield.
An industry leader for more than four decades, Learfield has a deep presence in the college athletics landscape nationwide. It manages the multimedia and sponsorship rights for more than 120 collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas, and supports athletic departments at all competitive levels as title sponsor of the prestigious Learfield Directors' Cup.
Learfield currently has partnerships with three additional American Athletic Conference schools – Memphis, SMU and Temple.
