Men’s Tennis Drops Final ITA Kick-Off Match to #22 Columbia

STILLWATER, Okla. – The University of Tulsa Men's Tennis team dropped their final match of ITA Kick-Off Weekend at the Greenwood Tennis Center as they fell to No. 22-ranked Columbia 4-0 on Saturday evening. The loss moved the Hurricane to 4-4 on the year heading into a Feb. 10 matchup at Tennessee.
Tulsa could not come up with the doubles point for just the second time in eight tries this season as they were bested in two of three with the win coming by way of a Majed Kilani and Or Ram-Harel 6-3 win over No. 8-ranked Victor Pham and Richard Pham 6-3. The win moved the Tulsa duo to 6-2 on the year in doubles play.
No. 46 Ram-Harel faced a top-40 ranked opponent in singles play for the fourth time in his last five matches, taking the first set from #40 Victor Pham 6-3 before the match was called with the senior down 3-2 in the second set.
After facing Tennessee on the road, the Hurricane will return to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center to battle UCLA on Feb. 13 at 6 p.m.
