Sophomore forward Jeriah Horne is one of the newest members of The University of Tulsa men's basketball team. Horne, a 6-foot-7 native of Overland Park, Kan., comes to TU from Nebraska, where he appeared in 29 games and averaged 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game as a true freshman last season. Horne led the Cornhuskers' rookies with 22 3-pointers and upped his scoring average to 5.4 points during Big Ten Conference play.

Prior to his time at Nebraska, Horne was a four-year standout at The Barstow School in Kansas City, Mo., for head coach Billy Thomas. He was a three-time first-team all-state selection in Missouri and helped lead the Knights to three consecutive Class 3 title games and brought home the championship in 2015. Horne totaled more than 2,000 points during his prep career and aided the squad to an 82-9 record over his final three seasons.

Horne will sit out the 2017-18 season per NCAA transfer rules, but will continue to work hard in practice to help the team improve as he eyes a return to competition in 2018-19.
