Kilani Advanced to the Semifinals at ITA Regionals

MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – Majed Kilani represented Tulsa men's tennis on the fourth day of the ITA Regionals on Sunday. Kilani defeated the No.10 seed Alexander Bakshi of Oklahoma in straight sets (6-3, 6-4). Kilani then faced Toby Boyer of Nebraska in the semifinals.

In the quarterfinal match against Alexander Bakshi of Oklahoma, Kilani was able to win the first set 6-3. The second set was a little closer, but Kilani took the second set 6-4.

In the semifinals, Kilani faced Toby Boyer of Nebraska. Boyer took the first set, 7-6. Boyer won the second set, 7-6, to defeat Kilani in two sets.

The Golden Hurricane returns to action again on Friday, Jan. 12. Tulsa will host the Bryant Bulldogs in a dual match. The match is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
