Tulsa Men’s Tennis Team Claims Sixth Straight Match Victory with 4-3 Win Over UCF

After trailing 3-1, the Tulsa men's tennis team won the next three matches to pull out a 4-3 victory Friday night at the USTA National Campus. The win was Tulsa's sixth straight as the Hurricane improved to 10-7 on the season.
 
Six of Tulsa's seven losses this season has come against teams ranked among the top-25 nationally.
 
In the final match of the day, Tulsa's Mitchell Pritchard built a 5-2 lead at the No. 6 slot, but UCF's Kalman Boyd won the next four points to tie the match at six. Pritchard pulled out the tie-break 10-5 to cap the Tulsa come-from-behind victory.
 
UCF captured the doubles point for an early 1-0 lead, while Tulsa's Or Ram Harel picked up Tulsa's first win of the night in a two-set victory over Korey Lovett at the No. 1 position. Harel shutout Lovett in the first set 6-0 and finished the match with a 6-2 win in the second set.
 
Daniel Santos picked up Tulsa's second point, closing the Hurricane deficit to 3-2, with a 7-5, 7-6 (4) victory over Mariano Porter at the No. 5 singles position. Majed Kilani's win at the No. 3 position tied the team score at 3-3. Kilani went three sets to knot the score, winning the first set 6-4, dropping the second 6-2 and closed out the match with a 6-2 victory
 
Tulsa continues its two-match road trip to Florida with a 1:00 p.m. Sunday match against the USF Bulls in Tampa, Florida.
