Tulsa has Success on Final Day of Silverado Invitational

NAPA, Calif. – Lucca Baptista picked up his third consecutive singles victory and his third doubles victory, as the Tulsa men's tennis team wrapped up the Silverado Invitational.
The duo of Lucca Baptista and Mitchell Pritchard won their third doubles match in a row, as they beat San Francisco's Lucas Marinelli and Marco Barretto, 6-2.
Majed Kilani and Jarod Hing suffered a loss to Cal's Connor Heap and Jacob Brumm, 6-4.
The Golden Hurricane took three singles matches for the third straight day.
Baptista defeated San Francisco's Paul Giraud for his third victory of the season. Baptista battled back from a first set loss and took the match in three sets (4-6, 7-5, 10-5).
Kilani notched his third singles victory as he defeated San Francisco's Johan Joenhagen in three sets. After losing the first set 6-0,
Kilani regrouped and took the final two sets (6-4, 10-3).
Hing recorded his second win on the year as he knocked off San Fracisco's Oliver Poysti in three sets. After losing the first set, Hing bounced back and took the final two sets and of the match (6-7 (5-7), 6-2, 10-6).
San Francisco's Ryan Marker defeated Pritchard in two sets (6-2, 6-2).
The Hurricane closed out the invitational with three singles victories and one doubles win. Tulsa men's tennis returns to action Friday, Sept. 22 at the Drake Invitational in Des Moines, Iowa.
