Head Coach Matilda Mossman announced today the 2017-18 American Athletic Conference schedule, which features eight home games at the Donald W. Reynolds Center and seven games broadcasted on either ESPNU, ESPN3 or the American Digital Network.

"The American Athletic Conference provides great competition night-in and night-out and we get to showcase our talents in quality venues," Mossman said.  "We look forward to the challenge of playing this conference schedule with a group of student-athletes that gained valuable experience last year."

The Tulsa-Tulane (Jan. 21) game will be broadcasted on ESPNU, while the Wichita State (Dec. 30), UConn (Jan. 18) and USF (Jan. 31) games will be on ESPN3, and the UCF (Jan. 27), Cincinnati (Feb. 17) and Wichita State (Feb. 26) games will be aired on the American Digital Network.

Six teams in The American advanced to postseason play last year, as UConn, USF and Temple played in the NCAA Tournament, and Tulane, UCF and SMU participated in the Women's National Invitation Tournament.

Tulsa will begin conference play at Wichita State (Dec. 30), a team that joined the league prior to this season.  WSU tallied a 15-16 overall record a year ago and finished fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference with a 9-9 mark.  The Shockers have won 15-of-16 games against TU, including an 85-65 win in the last meeting during the 1999-2000 season.

The Golden Hurricane will then host Tulane (Jan. 3) and Cincinnati (Jan. 6), before taking to the road to take on ECU (Jan. 10).  The Green Wave recorded 18 wins and advanced to the third round of the WNIT, while the Bearcats had 16 victories and the Pirates had 11 a year ago.  Tulsa has a 4-1 lead in the all-time series with Cincinnati and a 10-8 advantage over ECU.

TU will host Memphis (Jan. 13), before traveling to UConn (Jan. 18) and Tulane (Jan. 21).  The Huskies registered 36 wins, won The American regular season and tournament titles, and advanced to the Final Four last year.  The Hurricane won both meetings with the Tigers, which earned 14 wins last season, to take a 9-7 lead in the series.

UCF and USF will make the trip to Tulsa on Jan. 27 and Jan. 31, respectively.  The Knights posted 21 wins and played in the WNIT Second Round, while the Bulls had 24 victories and played in the opening round of the NCAA Championship last year.  TU and UCF split decisions last year as the Knights have a narrow 8-7 lead in the series, while USF won both matchups for a 4-0 advantage over Tulsa.

Up next, Tulsa will play at Temple (Feb. 3) and at SMU (Feb. 7), before hosting Houston (Feb. 10).  The Owls amassed 25 wins and played in the NCAA Second Round, the Mustangs had 19 wins and advanced to the third round of the WNIT and Houston tallied 12 victories last season.  Tulsa has a 15-8 lead in the all-time series with Houston, while Temple has a 4-1 lead in the series and SMU has a 27-17 advantage in the series with TU.

The Golden Hurricane will host ECU (Feb. 20) and Wichita State (Feb. 26), and travel to Cincinnati (Feb. 17) and Memphis (Feb. 24), to close out the conference slate.

The American Athletic Conference Championship will be hosted at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn., on March 3-6, 2018.

Tulsa's non-conference schedule was announced earlier this summer and includes home games against American University, Belmont, UMKC, Oral Roberts, Arkansas Pine Bluff and Arkansas State; road contests at Little Rock, North Texas, Arkansas, South Dakota and Saint Louis; and games against Binghamton and either Alaska Anchorage or Maryland Eastern Shore in the Alaska Shootout.
