TU Announced Its 2017-18 Men’s Tennis Schedule

TULSA, Okla. – Tulsa men's tennis team announced its 2017-18 schedule on Tuesday, September 26, 2017. There will be plenty of opportunity to come see the men in action, as they have 17 home matches.
The Golden Hurricane has already started its fall portion of the schedule, which features individuals and doubles tournaments. The Silverado Invitational featured three days of singles and doubles action from Napa, Calif. The next tournament was the Drake Invitational, where Joshua Goodger won his flight in singles action.
Next on the schedule for TU is the annual ITA All-American Championships, hosted by the Hurricane for the 13th time, sponsored by Saint Francis Health System. The Championships will begin Sept. 30, and run until Oct. 9.
Two Futures events will be up next. The first one will be in Houston, Texas, on Oct. 9, and last until Oct. 15. The second Futures event will be held in Harlingen, Texas, Oct. 16 through Oct. 22.
Next on the docket is the ITA Regionals from Oct. 19, through Oct. 23, in Minneapolis, Minn. The Golden Hurricane round out the individual season at the Birmingham Futures in Birmingham, Ala., which starts on Oct. 30, and last until Nov. 5.
The team portion of the spring season kicks off with four home matches on Jan. 12. The first is a 1 p.m. start against Bryant, followed by a match against Arkansas at 6 p.m. On Jan. 14 Cal comes to Tulsa for a 1 p.m. match. The Golden Hurricane open The American Athletic Conference, with a match against USF on Jan. 21, at 2:30 p.m.
On Jan. 26 and 27, the Hurricane will travel to Columbus, Ohio, for the ITA Kick-Off, where they will battle North Florida and will play another match against a team to be announced at a later date.
Tulsa returns home for another American matchup against Tulane on Feb. 2, which is scheduled for 6 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane will remain at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center for five non-conference matchups against Alabama (2/4), Oklahoma (2/9), North Carolina (2/11), Arkansas Pine Bluff (2/15), and finish with crosstown rival ORU (2/15).
Wichita State will come to Tulsa for another conference matchup on Feb. 19, at 6 p.m.
Texas A & M comes to town on Feb. 23, before TU takes to the road for a matchup in Fort Worth, Texas, against TCU.
The Hurricane return to the friendly confines of TU for three non-conference matchups starting with a matchup against OSU on March 9, at 2 p.m. On March 11, Tulsa has a doubleheader that starts with a match against Drake at 10 a.m., followed by a match against Nebraska Omaha at 2 p.m.
The Golden Hurricane will travel out to Palm Springs, Calif., for the Oracle Collegiate Tennis Challenge, that begins March 16, and runs until March 18.
Tulsa will then be in Texas for its next two matches, first at Baylor on March 23, and then on March 25, at Texas.
TU will play its final match at home against conference foe UCF on March 30.
The Hurricane will then return to Texas for a match against Texas Tech on April 11, before playing its final match of the regular season against SMU on April 13.
The American Athletic Conference Championships will start on April 19, and last through April 22. This year's conference tournament will be held in Dallas, Texas.
