Tulsa Rowing Set to Conclude Fall Slate at Tulsa-UCO Invitational

The Tulsa rowing team will conclude the fall season at the Tulsa-UCO Fall Invitational on Saturday, Nov. 3 on the North Canadian River in Oklahoma City, Okla.

TU was slated to host the regatta on their home course on the Verdigris River in Catoosa, but water conditions forced the regatta to be moved to Oklahoma City.

"On one hand we really regret not getting to race our last race of the fall on our home course," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It's always nice to see your fans on shore, especially Homecoming Weekend. Usually we have great water for this race, but this year we are not able to race safely. With all the rain we had in October, the watershed is full and there is just too much water in the river to safely host a regatta. We really appreciate Coach Montia Rice and his staff at UCO helping us out so that we can host the race in Oklahoma City this weekend."

The Golden Hurricane will race in four events, including the Novice 4+, Varsity 4+, Varsity 4x and Varsity 8+, against crews from Kansas, UCO and SMU.
