Head Coach Matilda Mossman announced the addition of Elin Hrafnkelsdottir to the 2018 signing class.  TU has already announced three other class members.

Hrafnkelsdottir, a 6-1 forward from Kopavogur, Iceland, currently plays for the Iceland U20 National Team.  With the Valur club team, she averaged 10.9 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 0.9 blocks per game, while shooting at a 48.2-percent clip in 2017-18.  Hrafnkelsdottir has played for the Iceland Youth National Teams from U15 to U20, and has played for the Senior National Team since 2016.

"When we first saw film on Elin, it was like wow, this kid plays at a high level and she never stops moving," Mossman said.  "This is our first venture into international recruiting and we think we are off to a good start.  We are so excited to get a player of Elin's caliber at a position that will be hit hard by graduation next year."

"Elin is every coach's dream," Valur Head Coach Darri Freyr Atlason said.  "She is very open to listening to critique and constantly looking to improve.  She has a winner's attitude, is a very talented and hardworking basketball player with good length and excellent mobility, and is a good post defender with great defensive fundamentals and instinct."
