"The team is really looking forward to racing at The American Championships," Head Coach Kevin Harris said. "It's going to be an exciting event with a lot of close races. Our conference has very even speed from top to bottom and I know that will show in the results on Saturday. We've done pretty well all season so we are looking forward to continuing that effort."
The Golden Hurricane will race in five races, including the Varsity 8+, 2nd Varsity 8+, Varsity 4+, 2nd Varsity 4+ and 3rd Varsity 4+.
This will be TU's fourth appearance in The American Championship, finishing second to UCF in all three previous events.
In addition to Tulsa and UCF, other teams competing for the 2018 conference crown and seeking the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Championship are UConn, SMU, Temple, Sacramento State and San Diego State.
