Tulsa Men’s Tennis Wraps Up Play at Silverado Invitational

NAPA, Calif. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis team wrapped up its first fall tournament on Sunday at the Silverado Invitational, posting a 5-1 record in doubles play for the weekend.
In the final day of action, the team of Jarrod Hing and Daniel Siddall fell to Eric Samuelsson and Clayton Alenik of UNLV, 8-4. Boriss Kamdem and newcomer Tom Thelwall-Jones would rebound and defeat Jordan Sauer and Zach Garner of UNLV, 8-7 (9).
In singles action, Hing would win his match against Paul Giraud of USF, 6-4, 0-6, 6-2. Siddall would also close out the weekend with a victory against Romeo Jivraj, taking his match 6-4, 7-5.
Kamdem dropped his final singles action against USF's Nitzan Ricklis, 5-7, 4-6. Thelwall-Jones would also fall in his match to Phuc Huynf of USF, 1-6, 4-6.
Overall, TU boasted a 5-1 record in doubles and 4-8 mark in singles action for the weekend. Next up for the Golden Hurricane is the Oracle ITA Masters Tournament in Malibu, California, on Sept. 20-23.
