Tulsa Women’s Soccer Team Opens Play in The American with Two Home Games This Week

The Tulsa women's soccer team will begin play in the American Athletic Conference with home games against ECU on Thursday, Sept 20 at 7:00 pm and Cincinnati on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 1:00 pm.  Both matches will be played at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
 
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. 

The Tulsa-Cincinnati game is Bark in the Park.  TU's Goldie will be in attendance, there will be complimentary water for all dogs and Puppy Haven will be on site with some of their dogs and adoption applications.
 
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch.  There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
 
The Golden Hurricane has a 4-4-1 mark this season, including a 3-3-1 record at home.  Anna Williams and Mia Darden both have a team-leading four goals on the season, while eight others have one score.  Mica MacKay has a 1.40 GAA, a 0.756 saves percentage, 34 saves and one clean sheet in 704:43 minutes between the posts, and Kay Jones has a 1.89 GAA, a 0.625 saves percentage and five saves in 142:43 minutes in goal for TU.
 
ECU has a 5-1-2 overall record, but are just 1-1-2 on the road this season.  Courtney Cash has a team-best five goals, while Jenna Dages has added four scores.  Melanie Stiles has played the majority of minutes in goal for a 0.73 GAA, a 0.833 saves percentage, 30 saves and three clean sheets.
 
The Pirates have a 7-4-1 lead in the all-time series, including a 1-0 decision in Greenville last year.
 
Cincinnati has a 5-3-1 mark this season, including a 0-3 record on the road this year, but will face Memphis before making the trip to Tulsa.  Jill Vetere, Sophie Gorman and Sydney Kilgore all have two goals on the season, while five others have one score.  A trio of players have logged minutes in goal for UC for a 1.17 GAA, a 0.784 saves percentage, 40 saves and three shutouts.
 
Cincinnati has a 5-2 lead in the series with Tulsa, including a 3-2 decision last year in Cincinnati.
