
Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts New Mexico on Friday; Pregame Tailgate Begins at 5pm

Tulsa's 23rd-ranked men's soccer team will host New Mexico on Friday, September 7, beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.
Prior to the game, TU will host a tailgate for National Beer Lover's Day. The tailgate will be hosted in the softball parking lot (Delaware Lot at 6th and Delaware) beginning at 5:00 pm. The tailgate will feature games, music and free pizza for students. At the game, the concession stand will have $3 draft beer while supplies last and there will be a giant corn hole game at halftime.
Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688.
Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on TulsaHurricane.com/watch. There is a 24HR Pass, a Monthly Pass and Yearly Pass that allow you to watch all TU home men's and women's soccer, volleyball and softball games depending on the package purchased.
The Golden Hurricane has a 2-1-1 mark this season. Gilles Kuhler has a team-best two goals, while Chase Bromstedt, Joe Ruiz and Juan Sanchez each have one score. Cooper Clark has played every minute in goal for a 0.95 GAA, a 0.818 saves percentage, 18 saves and one shutout.
New Mexico has a 2-2 mark on the season, topping Cal State Fullerton (5-1) in their last contest. Former Tulsa men's soccer player Matt Puig leads the Lobos with three goals and seven points, and Omar Grey, Antoine Vial and Nick Taylor each have two scores this season. Ford Parker has played the majority of minutes in goal for a 1.52 GAA, a 0.700 saves percentage and 14 saves.
New Mexico has a 7-6-1 edge in the all-time series, but TU earned a 3-0 win in the last meeting in the 2013 Conference USA Championship game.
