Tulsa Men’s Tennis to Open Spring Season on Friday

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa men's tennis squad opens the 2018-19 spring season at home on Friday, playing host to Bryant at 9 a.m. CT and Texas Tech at 6 p.m. CT at the Michael D. Case Tennis Center.
The team is scheduled to square off with seven of the preseason top-25 teams this year. The Golden Hurricane finished the fall with one athlete ranked inside the singles top-100 individually, in the team's captain and lone senior Majed Kilani at No. 55.
In Friday's first match, Tulsa tussles with Bryant with first serve slated for 9 a.m. CT. Bryant finished with a 14-16 overall record, but a 4-0 mark in the Northeast Conference a season ago.
Friday's evening match is schedule for 6 p.m. CT, pitting TU against the Texas Tech Red Raiders. The Red Raiders finished the 2017-18 season ranked No. 36 in the NCAA, posting a 19-11 overall record and a 1-4 conference mark.
