Tulsa returns 10 letterwinners, including four starters, from last year's team that finished the 2018-19 season with a 13-18 overall record and a seventh-place finish in American Athletic Conference play.
TU's seventh-place league finish was four spots higher than the previous season and five positions better than the preseason predicted order of finish by the league's coaches. The Golden Hurricane returns four of its top-five scorers from a year ago, including Alexis Gaulden (11.8 ppg), Morgan Brady (8.3 ppg), Rebecca Lescay (6.5 ppg), Desiree Lewis (5.9) ppg.
The Tulsa women will host Southwestern Oklahoma State on Wednesday, October 30 in their only exhibition game of the preseason.
