Alexis Gaulden, Maddie Bittle, Kendrian Elliott and Addison Richards all scored in double figures to give Tulsa a 75-56 win over Loyola Marymount on Monday afternoon at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.  TU moved to 3-2 on the season, while LMU fell to 2-4 overall.

"The fact that we had four players in double-figures, and our assist-turnover ratio (17 assists and 12 turnovers) led us to the win," Head Coach Matilda Mossman said.  "We felt like if we could just keep pushing it they would tire out.  Fatigue was a factor for them as they just played on Saturday, and our kids did a good job of attacking and pushing the ball today."

Gaulden had a season-high 19 points, including seven free throws made, and added five assists and four steals to lead the Golden Hurricane, while Bittle also netted a season-high of 13 points.  Elliott added 12 points and a team-best eight rebounds, and Richards had 11 points and six boards.

The Golden Hurricane shot a solid 41-percent from the field, while the Lions had a 31-percent field goal percentage.

Tulsa had a 20-4 lead in points off turnovers, a 21-10 advantage in points off the bench and a 17-11 lead in assists, while LMU had a 48-42 lead in rebounds.  The Lions finished with 22 turnovers compared to the Hurricane's 12.

After the first frame, Tulsa had a 15-13 lead, and Elliott, Gaulden and Lescay all paced the Hurricane with four points apiece.  LMU got on the board first on a field goal by Jasmine Jones, but a layup by Gaulden evened the score at the 9:35 mark.  The Lions didn't lead again until the 1:46 mark of the first frame on a three-pointer by Chelsey Gipson, but a layup by Elliott put the Hurricane up once again seconds later for the remainder of the contest.  Tulsa took a 29-24 advantage into the locker room.

After shooting just 2-of-13 (15-percent) from behind the arc in the first half, the Golden Hurricane hit 5-of-9 (55-percent) in the third period and climbed to a 15-point (54-39) lead with one quarter remaining.

Tulsa continued to inch ahead and led by as many as 21 points, 71-50, at the 2:38 mark in the fourth quarter, and then again, 73-52, with just 2:02 remaining in the contest.

Jasmine Jones had a team-best 17 points and 12 rebounds for Loyola Marymount, while Chelsey Gipson added 15 points and Raychel Stanley.

Tulsa will return to action on Friday, November 29 against Western Kentucky in the Saint Mary's Thanksgiving Classic in Moraga, Calif.
