Poor shooting plagued the Tulsa women's basketball team as they dropped a 91-41 decision to #20 Arkansas on Wednesday night at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville, Ark.  The Golden Hurricane fell to 3-7 on the season, while the Razorbacks moved to 9-1 overall.

The Golden Hurricane shot just 28-percent from the field, including 0-of-16 from three-point range, and had 19 turnovers in the contest, compared UA's 44-percent from the field and eight turnovers.  TU was also called for 17 fouls, while the Razorbacks had just 10.

KK Rodriguez scored a career-high nine points, while Addison Richards also added nine and Rebecca Lescay posted eight. Emma Duerr earned her first points of her career and finished with six.  Elliott, who had a team-best 17.8 points per game entering the contest, scored just two points in the game, but pulled down a team-best 11 rebounds, and had a team-leading three blocks and two steals.

"I thought in the first quarter we played well, we defended well, we moved the ball on offense and we rebounded with them, we just couldn't make shots," Head Coach Matilda Mossman said.  "Holding them to 14 in the first quarter was huge, but not making shots just snowballed.  We also went 0-of-16 from three, which was a confidence issue because we had wide-open shots."

Arkansas had a 52-35 lead in rebounds, a 16-9 advantage in assists and a 7-5 edge in steals, while Tulsa had a 5-4 lead in blocks.

At the end of the first quarter, Tulsa trailed Arkansas, 14-2.  TU shot just 6.7-percent in the frame as Lescay had TU's only made basket in the team's 15 attempts, while the Razorbacks shot 31-percent.

The Golden Hurricane shot a solid 43-percent from the field in the second frame to score 14 points, but Arkansas scored 27 and had a 57-percent clip to take a 41-16 advantage into the locker room.

Arkansas had a 25-11 scoring edge to climb to a 66-27 lead at the end of the third quarter, and outscored Tulsa, 25-14, in the final frame for the 50-point win.

The Razorbacks were led by Alexis Tolefree with 20 points, while A'Tyanna Gaulden and Erynn Barnum both had 14 points.  Barnum and Rokia Doumbia both had 12 rebounds.

Tulsa will return to action against Stetson on Sunday, December 15 beginning at 12:00 pm Central in DeLand, Fla.
