TEMPE, Ariz. – University of Tulsa men's tennis senior Majed Kilani was ranked inside the Oracle ITA singles top-75, ranked No. 73 overall in the nation, the organization announced on Wednesday.

The Tunisia native holds a 4-2 dual match record, including a 3-1 mark at the No. 1 spot for the Golden Hurricane. Kilani has already picked up a ranked win in the dual season, tallying a 6-4, 2-6, 6-1 victory over Bryant's Matt Kuhar on opening day.

Tulsa, receiving votes in the latest team rankings, boasts an 8-2 record thus far into the dual season. The record marks the best start to a season since 2008-09, in which the Golden Hurricane started the spring season 9-1 overall.

The team's biggest victory thus far into the season came over No. 14 TCU, as Tulsa took down the Horned Frogs, 4-2, inside the Case Tennis Center. The win marked the first against TCU since 2014, and the highest ranked win for head coach Vince Westbrook's squad since a 2017 victory over No. 4 Texas.

This weekend will prove to be Tulsa's toughest test yet this season, as No. 6 Texas travels to the Michael D. Case Tennis Center for a Friday matchup at 6 p.m. CT. The team will then host Cornell on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. CT.
