Tulsa Women’s Tennis to Host Arkansas on Saturday

TULSA, Okla. – The University of Tulsa women's tennis squad (6-4) returns to the indoor courts of the Michael D. Case Tennis Center on Saturday, playing host to Arkansas (7-1) at 12 p.m. CT.
The Razorbacks enter Saturday's match coming off a loss against Oklahoma on Sunday, Feb. 3, 4-0. Despite the team's lone setback, Arkansas already has a ranked win under its belt, picking up a 4-3 win over No. 9 Oklahoma State.
In the teams' last meeting in 2018, the No. 18 Razorbacks managed a 4-3 win in Fayetteville over the Golden Hurricane.
Students at Saturday's match will receive free pizza while supplies last.
Heading into this weekend, head coach Dean Orford's bunch sits at 6-4 overall. TU went a perfect 3-0 in the Hurricane Invite, along with picking up victories over Arkansas Pine-Bluff, Oral Roberts and Central Arkansas for a 6-2 home match record this season.
The team is led by lone senior Martha Matoula, whom is 6-1 overall at the No. 1 and 2 singles spots, along with 7-3 in No. 1 and 2 doubles with partner Shura Poppe.
