Tulsa Set for Outdoor Season Opener in Fayetteville

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark.. — The University of Tulsa track and field team will open its outdoor season at the Arkansas Spring Invitational at the familiar John McDonnell Field on Friday and Saturday.
The Golden Hurricane will send 38 (20 men, 18 women) athletes to the team's opening two-day meet.
The meet will begin Friday with the day's only event, the men's and women's hammer throw at 3:30 p.m. CT. Tulsa will enter throwers Aleks Rapp and Baylor Reese in the event.
On Saturday, field events will begin at 11 a.m. CT, while the track events will kick off at 3 p.m. CT with the 3,000-meter steeplechase. As customary, the 4x400-meter relays will conclude the meet, set for 7:40 p.m. (men's) and 7:50 p.m. (women's), respectively.
Live results will be available for the Spring Invitational via Flash Results here. The meet will be streamed live on SEC Network+ with available subscription here.
In the 2018 outdoor season, Tulsa continued its strong showing on the track, sending seven athletes who qualified to the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds. Three TU athletes took home individual titles in last year's American Outdoor Championships.
