TEMPE, Ariz. – University of Tulsa men's tennis senior Majed Kilani moved up to No. 52 in the Oracle ITA singles rankings, the organization announced on Tuesday.
The senior Tunisia native is the lone Golden Hurricane ranked in singles, moving up from No. 84 a week ago. Kilani already possesses two ranked wins this season, along with 7-4 record at the No. 1 position.
For the first time this season, the TU duo of Joshua Goodger and Boriss Kamdem were also ranked No. 78 in the doubles standings, marking the first time this season Tulsa has had a tandem ranked.
The Golden Hurricane boasts a 9-8 record thus far into the dual season. Tulsa has already squared off with three top-15 teams this season, and will get a break this week before an in-state rivalry match with Oklahoma State on March 13.
The team's biggest victory thus far into the season came over No. 14 TCU, as Tulsa took down the Horned Frogs, 4-2, inside the Case Tennis Center. The win marked the first against TCU since 2014, and the highest ranked win for head coach Vince Westbrook's squad since a 2017 victory over No. 4 Texas.
