Hollingsworth Named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week

PROVIDENCE, R.I. — Tulsa senior outfielder Julia Hollingsworth was named the American Athletic Conference Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Hollingsworth helped Tulsa to a series win at UConn last week by hitting .500 (5-of-10) as all five of her hits went for extra-bases. She recorded three doubles, a triple and a homer en route to four RBIs and three runs. The Ennis, Texas, native also tallied a .583 on-base percentage and a 1.300 slugging percentage over the three games.
She started the week with a double and RBI in game one before going 2-for-4 with a triple and three-run homer in game two of the set. In Tulsa's regular-season finale win, Hollingsworth hit a pair of doubles and scored twice in her two at-bats.
Hollingsworth and the Golden Hurricane (35-17) will open play at the American Athletic Conference Championship against ECU (22-31) at 4 p.m. on Thursday, May 9.
