The Tulsa women's basketball team will take on eight teams during the 2019 non-conference slate that advanced to the postseason a year ago, as announced today by head coach Matilda Mossman.  TU will also face instate rivals Oklahoma State and Oral Roberts in the friendly confines of the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Abilene Christian, Little Rock and Marquette all competed in the NCAA Championship, while Arkansas, Loyola Marymount, Stephen F. Austin, Stetson and Western Kentucky participated in the WNIT last season.  Additionally, 11 teams posted double-digit wins during the 2018-19 campaign, including six teams with 20-or-more victories.

Tulsa will begin the season with a five-game home stand, including Stephen F. Austin (Nov. 5), Arkansas State (Nov. 9), Oklahoma State (Nov. 13), Oral Roberts (Nov. 21) and Loyola Marymount (Nov. 25).

SFA recorded 25 wins, including a win at home against Tulsa to tie the all-time record at 6-6, and advanced to the WNIT First Round a year ago.  The LMU Lions totaled 18 wins and also advanced to the WNIT First Round, while the Golden Eagles posted 18 wins, the Cowgirls had 14 victories and the ASU Red Wolves won 12 games last season.

A trip to California for the St. Mary's Thanksgiving Classic closes out the month of November for the Golden Hurricane with a pair of neutral site games against Western Kentucky (Nov. 29) and Marquette (Nov. 30).  The WKU Hilltoppers registered 20 wins and advanced to the WNIT Third Round, while the Marquette Golden Eagles posted the most wins of any of TU's non-conference foes with 27 victories, and tallied a Big East regular season championship and a Second Round appearance in the NCAA Championship.  This will be the first meeting for Tulsa on the women's basketball court against both teams.

Of the six games for Tulsa in the month of December, five of them will be played on the road.  The Hurricane will travel to Abilene Christian (Dec. 5), before making the trip to face Little Rock (Dec. 7).  The ACU Wildcats earned 23 wins, the Southland Conference tournament championship and played in the NCAA Championship First Round last season, while Trojans recorded 21 wins, won both the Sun Belt tournament championship and a share of the regular season title, and played in the opening round of the NCAA Championship.

Trips to Arkansas (Dec. 11) and Stetson (Dec. 15) are up next on the schedule for TU.  The Razorbacks netted 22 wins and advanced to the Third Round of the WNIT, while the Hatters tallied 16 wins and played in the WNIT First Round.  Tulsa captured a narrow 55-54 win over Stetson last season in the first-ever meeting between the two teams.

Tulsa returns home to host Colorado State (Dec. 21), before closing out the non-conference slate at UTEP (Dec. 29).  The Miners had nine wins last season, while the Rams posted eight.

The American Athletic Conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
