Youth on the rowing ergs at Tulsa Plays

“Tulsa Plays!” Summer Kids Event Scheduled for this Wednesday, July 24

TULSA, Okla. –– The 5th Annual "Tulsa Plays!" Summer Kids program, presented by The University of Tulsa athletics, will hold its final event for the summer this Wednesday, July 24, 10-12 noon at Kendall-Whittier Park near the TU campus at 2645 East 5th Street.
 
Tulsa Plays! is open to all kids 12 & under. All children will need to have a waiver signed by a legal guardian or parent to participate. The "Tulsa Plays!" initiative is a community program designed to encourage kids to play and live a healthy and active lifestyle.
 
The youth will participate in running and agility drills in a variety of sports. TU student athletes from the sports of football, soccer and basketball and spirit squad members will be present this Wednesday to instruct and interact with the youth in attendance.
 
Each participant will receive an activity card that they can take to each activity station. At each station they will receive a sticker of completion. At the end of the day, kids can redeem their activity card for a "Tulsa Plays!" gift pack.
