Tulsa Golfers in 4th Place at the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational

MANHATTAN, Kan. –– The Tulsa women's golf team sits in 4th place after the first two rounds in the 11-team field of the Marilynn Smith Sunflower Invitational Sunday. The Golden Hurricane carded rounds of 297 and 298 for a 36-hole total of 595 at the Colbert Hills Country Club.
 
Tulsa is just seven strokes behind team-leader Kansas State's score of 588, followed by North Texas (590) and New Mexico State (594).
 
Three Hurricane golfers are among the top-20, led by sophomore Lorena Tseng in 13th place after rounds of 73 and 76 for 149. Juniors Haley Greb and Taylor Dobson are tied for 16th place with 150 totals.
 
Freshman Alex Christenson carded rounds of 74-79 got 153 and 23rd place, while fellow freshman Lilly Thomas shot a score of 160 for 46th place
 
Sophomore Jasmine Zhang, playing as an individual, is in 20th place after turning in a 36-hole score of 152.
 
The tournament's final 18 holes will be played on Tuesday.
