Four different players scored a goal to lead the Tulsa men's soccer team to a dominating 4-0 win over Incarnate Word on Friday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  TU moved to 3-3 on the season, while UIW fell to 3-2 overall.

"I thought the first 15 minutes we started the game okay and we created some good chances, but as the first half wore on UIW started to get a hold of midfield and get some chances themselves," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said.  "They have some talented players and some explosiveness up top, and we were letting them have too much space in the midfield.  In the second half we did a much better job of reducing the space in the midfield, and we hurt them a lot more going forward.  We started creating chances, even before we scored the first goal, and had some really good combination play."

After nearly 70 minutes ticked off the clock scoreless, TU's Adam Habib put one into the back of the net as he drilled in a cross from Marcos Moreno from six yards out to put the Golden Hurricane up 1-0.  Harris Partain made it a two-goal cushion just four minutes later as he shot from left to right from 18 yards out off a combination from Moreno and Ryan Alpers

Austen Schweinert added a goal in the 76th minute from five yards out into the lower right corner on a combination play from Moreno to Mitchell Cashion, and then Matteo Drougard put one in up the middle off a pass from Charles Noyelle.

Partain had a team-best six shot, while Chase Bromstedt added three attempts, Habib had two shots and five others had one.  Brady Moody logged all 90 minutes in goal, picked up four saves and earned the shutout.

Tulsa had a 16-10 lead in shots, including a 7-4 advantage in shots on goal, and both teams had five corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Tuesday, September 24 against Creighton beginning at 7:00 pm in Omaha, Neb.
