Tulsa Track and Field Set for Arkansas Invitational on Friday

TULSA, Okla. – After a month-long break, the University of Tulsa track & field team is set to compete for the first time in 2020 on Friday at the Arkansas Invitational, hosted by Arkansas at the Randal Tyson Indoor Track.
Head coach Steve Gulley will have 44 student-athletes (21 women, 23 men) compete on Friday, with nearly half of the competitors heading to their first meet of the season.
The Golden Hurricane last competed on December 7, 2019, at the Crimson & Gold Invitational at Pittsburg State. At the invite, redshirt junior Carsyn Spurgeon set a new program record in the long jump with a mark of 19' 11.5" (6.08m).
The Arkansas Invitational gets underway at 12:30 p.m. with men's shot put. Track events are set for 3 p.m., with the men's 400-meter dash, followed by the women at 3:15 p.m.
