NEW ORLEANS, La. –– The Tulsa women's golf team sits in 7^th place after two rounds Monday at the 54-hole Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate.

The Golden Hurricane turned rounds of 295 and 293 for a 36-hole total of 588. Only 8 strokes separate teams from 3^rd through 9^th place.at the par-73, 6,336-yard English Turn Golf Club.

Florida leads the way with rounds of 288 and 284 for a 572 total score for a 5-stroke lead over second-place North Carolina State. Rounding out the top-5 teams is Miami (581), Houston (584) and Michigan State (585).

Lorena Tseng paces the Hurricane with a 2-round total of 146 after turning in scores of 74 and 72 for 20^th place. Juniors Haley Greb and Taylor Dobson have identical scores for 26^th place with scores of 147. The each carded an even-par 73 in the first 18 holes and shot 1-over par 74 in second round action.

Freshman Lilly Thomas improved 6 strokes from first to second round action, turning in rounds of 79 and an even-par 73 for a 152 total score for 52^nd place. Sammy Liu is in 56^th place with a score of 153.

The final 18 holes will be played Tuesday.
