The Tulsa women's basketball season came to an end with a 67-61 loss to Tulane on Friday afternoon in the American Athletic Conference Championship First Round at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Conn.  The Golden Hurricane fell to 9-21 on the season, while the Green Wave moved to 13-17 overall.

KK Rodriguez posted a career-high 17 points, while Kendrian Elliott added 12, Addison Richards scored 11 and Destiny Johnson tallied 10 in the contest.  Elliott recorded her 15th career double-double as she added 10 rebounds, while Rodriguez added four steals and four assists, and Lescay had four assists.

"KK and Kendrian, along with our other three starters made us a different team in the last few weeks, and I think you saw that today," Head Coach Matilda Mossman said.  "We didn't get as many transition points as we've been getting in the last few games, but for us to have four people in double figures, shoot 44-percent and score 61 points was big for us."

Tulsa owned a 13-12 edge in assists and a 7-5 advantage in steals, while Tulane had a 39-29 lead in rebounds and a 5-2 lead in blocks.

Tulsa shot 44-percent from the field, 53-percent from behind the arc and 83-percent (5-of-6) from the free throw line, while Tulane shot 41-percent from the field, 33-percent from behind the arc and 75-percent from the line (9-of-12).

There were four lead changes and one tied score in the first three minutes, but a three-pointer by Johnson put Tulsa up 8-7 at the 6:58 mark, and the Golden Hurricane maintained the lead for the remainder of the first half.

Tulsa had a 14-9 advantage over Tulane with 4:17 to play in the first quarter, and climbed to a 10-point lead, 25-15, at the end of the frame.  The Golden Hurricane shot 75-percent in the first 10 minutes, while the Green Wave shot at a 41-percent clip.

The Green Wave outscored Tulsa, 17-10, in the second frame, but the Hurricane never relinquished the lead.  Tulsa shot just 35-percent in the second quarter, while the Green Wave hit 50-percent of their attempts.

There were five lead changes and three tied scores in the third quarter, but the Green Wave owned a two-point advantage (47-45) with one frame to play.  In the final quarter, Tulane had a 20-16 scoring edge and earned the six-point win.

The Green Wave was led by Arsula Clark with 20 points and six rebounds, while Krystal Freeman added 17 points.
