Tulsa's Mitchell Cashion was a unanimous selection to the American Athletic Conference Preseason All-Conference Team, as voted on by the league's coaches and announced today by the conference office.
Cashion, a junior defender from College Station, Texas, is a two-year letterwinner. He has started in 22 of 25 career contests, including all 15 games last season. Cashion was tabbed to The American all-conference second team in 2019. Last season, he recorded one goal and three assists, attempted 14 shots, and helped post shutouts over Gonzaga, Incarnate Word and Temple.
"Obviously Mitchell had a very good year last year," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said. "He is one of the best outside backs in the league and in the country, so I am happy for him. We are looking forward to him having another good year for us."
The coaches' preseason poll was also announced with the predicted order of finish of SMU, UCF, USF, Memphis, Temple and Tulsa.
