Tulsa's fourth-ranked men's soccer team registered a 4-0 win over South Florida on Sunday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.  The Golden Hurricane moved to 9-0 on the season and 4-0 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Bulls fell to 2-6-1 overall and 0-4 in the league.

"It took a while tonight," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said.  "South Florida was well organized in the first half and they made it difficult for us to connect the way we wanted to.  I thought we forced some things in the first half, but we opened it up in the second half.  I thought our spacing was better in the second half and I was pleased that our guys weren't too frustrated at halftime. I'm pleased with getting the result."

Malik Henry-Scott redirected Ben Barkley's shot as he headed in a goal at the 52:10 mark to put Tulsa on the board.  That opened things up for Tulsa as they scored two more goals in the next seven minutes.

Chase Bromstedt recorded his first goal of the season and ninth of his career as he punched one up the middle from 15 yards out off a pass from Alex Meinhard at the 58:29 mark.  Just 35 seconds later Henry Sach had a 70-yard kick up the middle that Henry-Scott punched in from 15 yards out for his second goal on the night.

Tulsa's fourth goal of the contest game on an own goal by the Bulls as a defender played a ball back to the keeper that went wide and into the back of the goal.

Henry-Scott had a team-best four shots, while Bromstedt added two attempts.  Alex Lopez logged 73:24 between the posts and picked up four saves, while Nolan Cosgrove finished the game between the posts and picked up three saves.

South Florida had a 12-11 edge in shots, including an 8-7 advantage in shots on goal, and a 4-3 lead in corner kicks.

Tulsa will return to action on Sunday, October 10 at UCF.  Game time is set for 5:00 pm in Orlando, Fla.
