
Tulsa’s Fazio and Zinnhardt Named to Men’s Scholar All-America Teams

Tulsa men's soccer players Mariano Fazio and Til Zinnhardt were named to the 2021 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Men's Scholar All-America first and second teams, respectively, as announced today by the United Soccer Coaches.
Fazio, a senior defender from Sevilla, Spain, maintains a 3.44 GPA in finance, and tallied two goals on the season, while helping TU record nine shutouts. He picked up 2021 NCAA Division I Men's All-America third team honors and East Region first team accolades. Fazio was also named as the American Athletic Conference's Defensive Player of the Year, and picked up all-conference first team and all-tournament team honors.
A junior defender from Konigstein, Germany, Zinnhardt maintains a 3.95 GPA in accounting, and had two goals and two assists for six points on the season, while helping the Golden Hurricane record nine clean sheets. He earned 2021 NCAA Division I Men's East Region first team accolades, and was named The American's Defensive Player of the Tournament and picked up all-tournament team accolades.
The duo are just the second and third United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America honorees, as Chris Taylor picked up second team accolades from the then National Soccer Coaches Association of America in 2009.
