Team Champions at Texas State Invitational

After Tuesday’s Title, Tulsa Golfers Back in Action

GOLF NOTES

LAS VEGAS, Nevada ––
For the third straight week, the Tulsa women's golf team will be in action when they tee-off Monday at the Rebel Beach Invitational. The tournament begins with 36 holes on Monday and the final 18 holes played on Tuesday at the par-72, 6,400-yard Spanish Trail Country Club.
 
The Golden Hurricane is coming off of a team title on Tuesday at the Texas State Invitational, in just the second tournament of the season. Tulsa carded rounds of 282-284-293 for a 5-under par score of 859 in holding off a late surge by UTSA for a two-stroke victory.
 
The Hurricane had top-4 performances from Lorena Tseng and Haley Greb. Tseng finished in second place overall with a 12-under par score of 204, while Greb placed fourth with a 6-under par 210 total. Lilly Thomas had a career-best 16th place showing. The runner-up finish for Tseng was her ninth top-5 finish in 21 career tournaments, while Greb's performance was a career best, including her two seasons at Colorado State.
 
The 13-team field at the Rebel Beach Invitational includes BYU, Colorado State, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Grand Canyon, Iowa, New Mexico, Northern Arizona, SMU, Tulsa, Nevada, UTSA and host UNLV.
