Tulsa men's soccer players Chase Bromstedt, Lucas Cline and Sean Gavin were named United Soccer Coaches 2020-21 College Player Award of Distinction Recipients, as announced by the organization.

"All three of these guys have done college the right way," Head Coach Tom McIntosh said.  "They are all tremendous teammates, they always put the team first, they conducted themselves with the highest standard of class off the field, they all excelled academically and all three have had a very positive impact on our team.  They helped set a high standard of what it means to be a part of our program.  I am super happy for these guys to receive this distinction."

Bromstedt, a four-year letterwinner and starter, has tallied eight goals and 10 assists for 26 career points.  Earlier this season he was named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region second team, and was an American Athletic Conference all-conference second team selection and all-tournament team honoree.

A one-year letterwinner, Cline started all 13 games during the 2020-21 season, logged over 1,130 minutes between the posts, picked up 34 saves, recorded five shutouts and had a 1.03 goals-against average.  He was named The American Goalkeeper of the Week twice on the season and finished the year ranked 18th nationally in clean sheets.

Gavin, a three-year letterwinner, started in 10 of 24 career contests.  He helped post four shutouts in his career.
