Tulsa Football Game Themes Announced for 2021

TULSA, Okla. –– During this "Loyal, Always True to Tulsa" season, The University of Tulsa today announced Game Themes for the 2021 Golden Hurricane football season.

TULSA THANKS … TULSA LEGACY … TULSA CREATES … TULSA CELEBRATES … TULSA SALUTES … and, TULSA SEND OFF… are the themes for the six home games this season as TU celebrates the community and people of Tulsa.

The home opener on Thursday, Sept. 2, against UC Davis is slotted as "TULSA THANKS" Game. The game is a 'thank you' to the frontline workers (doctors & nurses), first responders (police officers, firefighters, EMT) and educators (professors & teachers) in the northeastern Oklahoma community.

The "TULSA LEGACY" Game commemorates the legacy of Black Wall Street. Tulsa will host Arkansas State on Saturday, Sept. 25, for the Legacy Game. A week later, a Friday night (Oct. 1) contest against Houston is billed as the "TULSA CREATES" Game which will celebrate and promote the arts and music rooted in the city of Tulsa.

"TULSA CREATES" Game against Houston is also slated as the school's annual Alzheimer's Awareness Game.

Tulsa celebrates Homecoming against the Memphis Tigers on Saturday, Oct. 9 for the "TULSA CELEBRATES" Game.

At the end of the month, "TULSA SALUTES" those who defend our country on Military Day when the Navy Midshipmen visit Chapman Stadium on Friday, Oct. 29.

Fans will 'SEND OFF' the Tulsa senior class when the Hurricane closes out the home season against the Temple Owls on Saturday, Nov. 20.

Season ticket packages ranging from $75 to $330 are available for Tulsa's six home games. Mini-plan tickets featuring the October games against Houston, Memphis and Navy are now on sale starting at $40.

The Mazzio's Family Fun Zone Season Ticket Plan returns in 2021 and includes two tickets (one adult and one child) and is priced at $100. Additional youth tickets (12 & under) are $25, and additional adult tickets are priced at $75.
