The Golden Hurricane is 4-0 on the season, including wins over #8 Missouri State (3-0) and #9 Marquette (1-0), making this the best start for the Golden Hurricane since beginning the 2010 campaign 6-0.  TU has recorded two top-10 victories in a season only one other time, dating back to 2007 when the Golden Hurricane topped #4 Creighton and #10 South Carolina.

Five players have scored a goal for Tulsa, including a team-best two goals by both Alex Meinhard and Malik Henry-Scott, while Ben Barkley, Luke Jeffus and Mariano Fazio each have one score.  Alex Lopez has logged 270 minutes between the posts, picking up 11 saves for a 0.917 saves percentage and allowing just one goal for a 0.33 goals-against average, while Nolan Cosgrove picked up four saves for a clean sheet in his only game.

Michigan State is 2-2 on the season, with all four of their games played at home.  Michael Miller has a team-best two goals, while four others have one score, and Gianni Ferri has two assists.  Hunter Morse has logged all 360 minutes in goal, picked up 11 saves for a 0.611 saves percentage and allowed seven goals for a 1.75 GAA.
Tulsa has a 1-0-1 lead in the all-time series with the Spartans.  TU captured a 3-1 win over MSU in the First Round of the 2004 NCAA Tournament in Tulsa, while the two teams battled to a 0-0 tie during the 2018 campaign in East Lansing, Mich.
