Tulsa's 17th-ranked men's soccer team recorded a 3-0 win over Memphis on Saturday night at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium. The Golden Hurricane moved to 7-2-2 on the season and 3-2-1 in American Athletic Conference play, while the Tigers fell to 6-3-3 overall and 3-2-1 in the league.
"Obviously, our offense was a big focus for us going into this game," Associate Head Coach Jose Robles said. "In the last game we had minimal opportunities, minimal shots and minimal shots on goal so it was a big focus. We just trained really well going into this game. We talk about growing and taking out counter opportunities. Memphis is excellent going forward so our execution of our defense was almost perfect tonight."
Tulsa will return to action on Saturday, October 22 beginning at 6:00 pm against Temple in Philadelphia, Pa.
