Tulsa Men’s Soccer Team Hosts FAU on Wednesday

Tulsa's 10^th-ranked men's soccer team returns to action on Wednesday, October 5 against American Athletic Conference foe FAU beginning at 7:00 pm at the Hurricane Soccer and Track Stadium.

Tickets are $5 general admission and can be purchased at the north ticket gate, online at TulsaHurricane.com/tickets or by calling the TU Athletic Ticket Office at 918.631.4688. Champions Fund Members who donate $300+ get in free.

Fans unable to attend the match in person can watch it live on ESPN+. TU fans can subscribe to ESPN+ to watch select Golden Hurricane basketball, soccer, softball and volleyball games. Tulsa is off to a 5-1-2 start, including a 2-0 win over #10 Charlotte, a 3-0 win over #11 Missouri State and a 1-1 tie with #3 Kentucky. Alex Meinhard has a team-best five goals on the season, while Malik Henry-Scott has four scores. Meinhard also has a team-leading three assists, while four players have two assists apiece. Eight TU players have scored a goal on the season, while 11 players have earned at least one assist. Alex Lopez has logged 630 minutes in goal, picked up 20 saves and allowed seven goals for a 1.00 GAA, while Cedrik Stern has played 90 minutes between the posts, recorded two saves and a clean sheet.

FAU has a 3-4-2 overall mark on the season, including a 2-0-1 record in the league. The Owls have tallied just eight goals on the season, four of which have been scored by Victor Claudel, while four others have one goal. Spencer Mallion has a team-best two assists. Axel Hofmann and Neil Strauber have split time in goal. The duo has 38 saves for a 0.760 saves percentage and allowed 12 goals for a 1.33 GAA.

Tulsa earned a 3-0 win over FAU in the only previous meeting dating back to 2013 when both teams were in Conference USA.
